This was my job, back in the day. Inbetweening. Not rough drawing, clean line. Characters, props, tone layers (like the body shadows on Beast), there was nothing me and my Disneytoon pals couldn’t draw. It’s not a mindless job, an inbetweener’s job is to complete the animator’s vision and there are a million things to think about with every drawing.

12-24 of them every second.
